Alimer Game Engine will be professional 3d game engine with full editing toolset.At moment there are potential things implemented and I personally lost time on porting Ogre plugins to .net version..
Alimer Engine has a PInvoke wrapper,optimized as more as possible and would be easily to be invoked on Linux and OSX,throught Mono Project..
Ok lets start talking about my project,i'm developing it about a years,at current state it contains whole Physics support,like Cloth,Fluids,Force Fields,Rigid bodies and all joints,complete .NET version of Sound Engine based on Tao.OpenAL with support for reproducing *.ogg,*.wav and *.mp3.
Another potential of Alimer Engine its that it have an interface like the XNA Framework,your simulation start with just simple class declaration.The input system is based on Winforms so fully cross platform and no need for DirectX or SDL (missing joypad support at the moment)
Its has component based system and components are loaded automatically without need of configurate them or add into definition.
About graphics,it has full outdoor support at the moment,currently Hydrax and SKyX are fully ported to .NET,Paged Geometry and Paging Terrain are wrapped and are still WIP,
Other feature are the Volumetric Ligth shafts effect and big range on compositor effects like Bloom (Desaturated,Saturated,Soft,Blurry and Subtle),HDR,Depth of Field,Gaussian Blur,Glow,Heat Vision,Motion Blur,Sepia,Color Matrix (Greyscale,Negative,Brightness,Contrast,Saturation,Hue,ColorCorrection),Dynamic cubemaps and Fresnel planes.
Full .NET version of the popular particle universe library and fully integrated visual editor.
Full Coeherence noise composition library for creating noise inputs using more than 10 generators and 20 operators,real-time previewed in content browser.
Deferred rendering and SSAO is currently under development,another feature is that it includes build in shaders like Texture bump,Reflective bump,Enviroment map effect,Lava,Glitter,Cartoon rendering with outline,cel shading,metalic cartoon etc.
What about toolsets?
Well Alimer Engine comes with Sandbox with realtime scene editing with possibility to run physics simulation or direct preview game in Sandbox,the potential toolset (ispired by UDK) is the Content Browser which helps you out to preview,edit,create,clone,search resource (materials,shader materials,textures,sounds,physics material,particle system and the coeherence noise library,bitmap fonts),every resource like material,shader material,particle system is opened as Dialog and you can edit your resource without influence of Sandbox scene editor.

I would personally sorry to Ogitor team for using their icons,but i will remove them as soon as possible.
